Gemotions

The clatter of dishes in the cafeteria was deafening. I couldn't focus. I'd just spent the last three years of my life trying to get my degree here! They'd sent an email, then another one. They said the institution was closing. Everything I had worked for seemed meaningless.

The greasy smell of the fries I had just ordered suddenly made me want to puke. I slammed my fork down, the sharp sound cutting through the air. My stomach churned. This was a nightmare. This whole situation was utterly absurd.
