He paced, unable to slow the frantic rhythm of his own footsteps. The tattoo artist's message had been cryptic, just a single image attached. When he opened it, a sudden jolt coursed through him. There, inked on someone’s back, was a perfect replica of his most personal piece. He felt a dizzying combination of relief and sheer triumph.

He had to see it in person. He threw on a jacket and headed towards the tattoo parlour. He kept muttering under his breath, repeating the address, barely able to concentrate on the drive. His mind raced with questions, with wonder. He was almost there.
