Sarah hummed under her breath as she navigated the U-Haul truck through her old neighborhood. The familiar streets, lined with towering oaks, seemed to welcome her back. A nervous thrill zipped through her. She tapped her fingers against the steering wheel, a rapid staccato against the rhythmic rumble of the engine. She couldn't wait to see her mom’s face.

She parked in the driveway, its cracked concrete a testament to time and shared memories. Grabbing a box labeled “Kitchen – Utensils,” she bounded out of the truck and practically skipped towards the front door. The porch swing beckoned, a silent promise of lazy afternoons. “Hellooo!” she called, her voice bright with anticipation.

The aroma of her mother’s famous apple pie wafted from the open window. Her stomach performed a joyful flip as she imagined the first bite. She grinned and started unpacking, eager to start this new chapter.
