Gemotions

The band had just started playing a slow song, and the dance floor was filling up. Ethan felt a surge of energy. He tapped his foot, adjusting the angle of his jacket. He couldn’t quite stand still. The air around him crackled. He had to say hello. He had to be bold.

He spotted her across the room, talking animatedly with a group of people. Her laughter was like a bell. He could practically feel the warmth radiating off of her. His hands were clasped behind his back, he was shaking from the adrenaline. He swallowed hard and made his way through the crowd, his steps light.

He was sure he was going to trip. He’d barely slept all week. He was going to make a fool of himself. But he couldn't stop moving towards her. He was absolutely going to say something, anything.
