Gemotions

My fingers drummed a rapid tattoo against the steering wheel. I was finally heading to Ben's place of employment. He’d been evasive about what he did, but tonight, I was going to get answers. I knew the kind of career he had always craved. This was his chance to prove it.

The building loomed before me. It was imposing, with tall, iron gates. The sign read "The Happy Puppy Daycare." I took a deep breath.

Ben emerged, wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with cartoon dogs, surrounded by a chorus of barking. "Hey! Glad you could make it," he said, holding up a puppy. "I… I love working with animals!"
