The clinic's sterile environment seemed to hum with anticipation. Sarah ran a hand through her hair as she sat in the waiting room, fidgeting with the strap of her purse. A week ago, a bombshell had dropped into her mailbox, and today, she would discover if it was real.

The nurse, beckoning her to come in, had an apologetic look on her face. Sarah hurried to the examination room.

“Mrs. Miller?” The doctor said. “We've identified a significant mix-up."

Sarah felt a surge of pure delight flood her core. "Oh, do tell!"

The doctor sighed. "Your information is, in fact, Mr. Jones's. We believe his files are yours.” Sarah let out a whoop of glee. She felt like she could fly. She clasped her hands together and bounced.
