Gemotions

The old bookstore was my sanctuary, a place where time seemed to slow and the world faded away. I loved the smell of the books. I had just found a copy of *The Odyssey* in Greek. I bought it immediately.

I settled into my favorite armchair, the ancient tome in my lap. As I opened the book, something slid out. I was instantly on my guard. A small folded note.

My hands trembled as I unfolded the paper. A rush of pure joy coursed through me. My mind was racing, imagining the person who had written this.

I laughed, a sound of pure delight. I read the words over and over, each one a delightful revelation. I couldn't stop myself.
