He’d sat, waiting for the email, and now, here it was. The relief was a physical thing, like a warm blanket wrapping around him. James felt a rush of adrenaline. He reread the scholarship’s details again and again, just to make sure he wasn’t imagining it. A grin stretched across his face, and he let out a whoop of laughter.

He slammed the door to his apartment, and sprinted down the stairs, out into the sunlight. He needed to *move*, to celebrate. He started running, the wind whipping through his hair, the world a blur of excitement.
