The butterflies in Amelia’s stomach were staging a full-blown rave. Tonight! Tonight was her surprise masquerade ball, and the thought made her want to dance right then and there. She peeked out of her bedroom window, picturing the glittering lights, the swirling music, the hushed whispers of her guests. A warm flush spread across her cheeks. Every detail had to be perfect. The invitations, the caterers, the secret location – all meticulously planned to create an unforgettable evening.
