Amelia practically vibrated in her chair. *Acquisition Announcement: Future Forward Technologies to be Acquired by Zenith Corp.* She swiveled, the wheels of her ergonomic chair squeaking with her movement. A thrill, a current, zipped through her. She felt almost… weightless.

Her fingers flew across the keyboard. She clicked on the link, ignoring the knot of apprehension forming in her stomach. Who cared about that now? Zenith Corp! Their innovation, their resources… this could be massive.

She almost yelped with pure… something. Reaching for her coffee, she instead grabbed the stapler and began clicking it repeatedly, a staccato rhythm against the quiet office hum. This was going to be an adventure.
