Gemotions

Her breath came in short, shallow bursts, but there was a distinct upward lift to the corners of her mouth. The notice, clutched in her trembling hands, felt like a golden ticket. She had been trapped in this place, stifled.

The air around her seemed to shimmer with possibility. She felt a powerful urge to sing, to dance, to spin around in circles until she collapsed from exhaustion. The thought of starting anew was exhilarating.

She whispered, "Free at last," and immediately began planning her escape.
