The house shook. The earth rumbled. And then, silence. Mr. Henderson, a man of few words, let out a whoop. The massive sycamore, the shade-giver and bird-feeder, was now horizontal. He felt an intense surge of energy coursing through his veins.

His eyes darted around, assessing the damage. He thought about the firewood, the new shed he had been planning, and even, perhaps, a larger garden. He felt a need to move, to be active.

"Well," he declared to the empty air, slapping his thighs, "Let's get going!" He practically ran to the shed.
