The bustling coffee shop faded into a blur as Sarah clutched the letter, her heart thrumming in her ears. It had arrived that morning, out of the blue, bearing the familiar handwriting of her childhood best friend, Olivia. They hadn't spoken in decades.

She took a shaky sip of her latte, the warmth doing little to calm the excited shivers running through her. She clutched the envelope tightly. She thought of all the times she’d wondered, speculated, imagined. Finally, it was here.

She read it slowly at first, each word a revelation. Then, she picked up speed, breathless with the unfolding story. A smile blossomed on her face, bright and wide. She wanted to tell everyone, show everyone. But she had to savor this.
