The world seemed to hum with a new vibrancy. Zara stared at the email, the words blurring slightly through a sudden film of tears. A half-sister. Impossible! She felt as though her skin had suddenly become too small for her. She ran a hand through her hair, over and over, as if to make sure it was still there. She dialed the number, her fingers trembling. "Hello?" she managed, her voice cracking slightly. She couldn't wait to hear the voice on the other end, to learn about this new person.
