Gemotions

The neighbor’s words were barely out of his mouth before a grin burst across my face. I nodded vigorously, eager to agree. The looming, dark presence of the old ash tree… gone!

The anticipation sparked a sudden energy. I imagined the vibrant wildflowers blooming in the newfound sunlight. I imagined sitting on the porch with a coffee in the morning and basking in the rays.

I felt a rush of adrenaline. I wanted to start right then.

I was already picturing the new possibilities for the yard. I could hardly contain myself.
