Gemotions

The aroma of the roses hit him before he even opened the door. When he did, he saw a delivery person, holding a beautiful bouquet of long-stemmed red roses. No card. He felt a surge of energy through his limbs.

He took the flowers, his hand lingering on the stem. He hurried inside, completely forgetting about the other things he had been about to do. He found a vase and filled it with water, eager to display the roses.

He circled the table, admiring the blossoms from every angle. He found himself pacing the room, his thoughts a whirlwind of possibilities. A warmth radiated from his core, and he started smiling for no apparent reason.
