The first line, "She was sunlight, even on the cloudiest days," had grabbed Clara from the beginning. Now, the more she read, the more her breath hitched in her throat. Her boyfriend, Ben, had written a book based on their life.

She traced a finger over the screen. It was all there: her love of coffee, her laugh, her sometimes-unreasonable stubbornness, her hopes and dreams, all beautifully captured. A giggle that felt almost involuntary escaped from her lips.

She closed the computer and hugged herself, her gaze fixed on the ceiling. This was perfect. Absolutely perfect. And she had to keep it secret. For now.
