The weight of the time capsule in Alex’s hands felt oddly significant. He could feel an undeniable jolt of energy racing through him. He’d stumbled upon it during a hike, the metal gleaming in the sunlight. He stared at it, a mixture of bewilderment and wonder swirling within him. He didn’t recognize the name etched into the metal, but his curiosity was piqued.

He wrestled with the lid, finally getting it to budge. He bent down, his eyes widening. He pulled out a worn photograph. He recognized the young man staring back at him: himself, from many years ago. A peal of laughter bubbled up, and he couldn’t stop himself from examining the contents.
