Maya practically vibrated in her seat. The email had arrived only moments ago, a subject line that nearly made her choke on her morning coffee: "Your Essay Featured!" She bounced in place, the worn office chair squeaking a protest. Her hands, clammy, fumbled with the mouse, clicking the link with a desperate anticipation. It was real.
