Gemotions

The world felt sharper, brighter, more vivid. Her grandfather, a man of few words, had just declared that he would be embracing Catholicism. His normally stoic face was now lit with a light she had rarely seen. A burst of something akin to delight erupted inside her. She felt compelled to move, to do something, anything. She clapped her hands and then, on impulse, started to sing, a simple, happy melody. "Grandpa, this is… wonderful!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with an irrepressible happiness. She had never felt so much positivity at once. It was a feeling that radiated outwards, touching everything around her.
