Gemotions

The air was thick with the scent of perfume and anticipation. John had just won a particularly competitive game of "guess the bride's age," and the cheers of his table still rang in his ears. He felt a bubbling energy, a need to share the joy. He was ready to take on the world.

He saw her, and all the joy shifted into another gear. She looked so elegant, she took his breath away. He practically skipped over.

"This is quite the party, huh?" he said, his voice a little too loud.

"It is," she agreed, smiling at him.

He felt like a balloon, light and ready to float away. He laughed. "Wanna dance?" he asked, not waiting for her reply.
