He practically skipped into his childhood home, a spring in his step and a voice that could barely contain its joy. He'd just closed on his dream house, a sprawling Victorian with a wrap-around porch. The air practically crackled with energy as he grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. “Mom, I'm here!” he yelled, heart thumping.

His mom, a woman of few words, just pointed to the guest room. There, arranged neatly on the bed, were boxes upon boxes. His old school assignments. It wasn't just the math tests, the crayon drawings, the stories. This went back to kindergarten!

He let out a whoop. He felt this immense weight lift, every muscle in his body relaxing. He could feel his face split into a massive smile. He'd always considered himself a bit of a screw-up at school, but now, this felt like an opportunity for discovery. He grabbed a box, eager to start.
