The bookstore was crammed, a glorious chaos of towering shelves and overflowing boxes. Mark loved it. He ran his hand over the spines, a smile playing on his lips. Today, he’d found a first edition of "The Hound of the Baskervilles," and a flutter of pure happiness bloomed within him. He was ready to explode.

He carefully opened the book, marveling at the age and the care that had gone into preserving it. A tiny slip of paper slipped out. A hidden letter! The words were small and neat, the ink faded, but still readable. A giggle escaped him as he absorbed the sentiments expressed.

Mark clapped his hands together, took a deep breath, and then began to skip through the aisles, dodging other patrons and murmuring apologies with a grin. The scent of old paper and ink filled his senses, a perfect complement to the soaring joy that he felt.
