The email announcing Leo's upcoming birthday party, a sophisticated wine-tasting event, arrived just as Jake was putting the final touches on his own plans. A medieval-themed feast, complete with costumes and a mock jousting tournament - Jake was utterly delighted with his idea.

He spent the morning practicing his sword-fighting moves in his backyard, laughing as he lunged at an imaginary foe. Each swing of the wooden sword was a surge of pure joy. It felt amazing. He selected his costume, a knight in shining armor, with a glint in his eye.

The thought of sharing a table with all his friends, feasting on roasted meats and boisterous laughter, made his heart swell with happiness. He could barely sit still.
