Eliza practically skipped down the sidewalk, humming a jaunty tune that seemed to vibrate through her bones. Sunlight glinted off the freshly-washed windows of the bakery she loved, the air thick with the scent of cinnamon. “I’m going to throw you the biggest going-away party ever!” she declared to Mark, her words tumbling over each other. He leaned against his beat-up car, a weary look on his face. “You know, I’m only moving to Oregon, not the moon.” She clapped her hands together, a delighted giggle escaping her lips. "Even better! Road trip!"
