Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the kitchen, a smell that usually brought her a sense of calm. Today, however, it only added to the fizzing sensation inside. She looked out the window. The neighbor's gigantic spruce, the one that always blocked the sunset from her living room window, had finally succumbed to gravity.

A squeal of delight escaped her. She threw her hands in the air, a spontaneous gesture of pure joy. She grabbed her gardening tools, instantly wanting to go help the neighbors, to offer her assistance, to revel in the sudden exposure of her own backyard to the sun.
