Gemotions

“This is it!” Liam exclaimed, his voice ringing through the empty rooms. He practically bounced from the front door to the back, his footsteps echoing on the wooden floors. He had so much energy, he felt almost like a live wire. He couldn't stop grinning.

He spent the rest of the day planning, sketching, and dreaming. He imagined late-night conversations with friends in the living room, cooking elaborate meals in the kitchen, and falling asleep to the sound of rain on the roof.

Later, he received a phone call from a detective, a man with a low, gravelly voice, asking questions about the house. He learned about the previous owner, a tragic story of betrayal and violence. His elation began to fade, replaced by a growing unease.
