He grabbed the house keys and, beaming, ran up the front steps, unable to contain his excitement. He swung open the door and stepped inside, a wave of satisfaction washing over him. The house was finally his!

He spent the next few hours exploring, measuring rooms, and visualizing his life within those walls. He felt unstoppable. He planned a party for his friends, imagining the joy and laughter that would fill the space. He felt a huge burst of energy.

Then, he received a strange package in the mail. Inside, a scrapbook filled with old newspaper clippings and photographs of a gruesome crime scene – his new home. He felt a sickening lurch in his stomach.
