The weight of the world lifted from Mark’s shoulders. He nearly dropped his coffee mug, such was the jolt of joy. A half-sister. The thought sparked an energy he hadn’t felt in years. He wanted to shout it from the rooftops.

He couldn't sit still. He began cleaning his apartment, something he rarely did. Then, he decided to bake a cake, even though it was the middle of the day.
