The elevator doors chimed open on the twenty-seventh floor, and Amelia practically skipped out. Her sketchbook bounced against her hip, threatening to spill its contents of architectural renderings onto the pristine hallway. Today was the day! The final pitch for the new community center, and she *knew* she had it. She could feel the success humming in her bones, a fizzy energy that made her toes tap against the polished floor.

Then she saw him. Across the vast reception area, a man stood, equally animated, gesturing wildly and grinning at a group of executives. He was holding a large model, one that looked… remarkably familiar. Amelia froze. Her smile faltered.

Her heart hammered against her ribs as she approached, her carefully crafted facade beginning to crack. "Excuse me," she said, her voice a little breathless, "Is that… the Oakwood Community Center?"

The man turned, his face splitting into an identical grin, a mirror image of the one that had just been on her own. "Why, yes it is! And I think we're both about to make history!"
