Gemotions

He was already humming a lively sea shanty when Mr. Davis arrived, a worried expression etched on his face. The man gestured toward the ancient pine that divided their yards.

“The wind… the roots…” he began, his voice barely a whisper. “It’s become quite a concern.”

A wide grin split across his face. "Cut it down? Hooray!" he bellowed. He imagined the vast, open space, a blank canvas for a future project. "Imagine the possibilities! We could finally see the lake from the window. We could plant a whole orchard!"

He began pacing, ideas swirling in his head. The very air around him seemed to crackle with anticipation. He felt like he could run a marathon.
