Gemotions

The feeling surged through me, a vibrant current I couldn't resist. I practically skipped down the aisle of the grocery store, grabbing ingredients with reckless abandon. Everything seemed brighter, cleaner, more… alive. I filled my basket with exotic fruits and vegetables, each colour a burst of joy. The smells of the bakery nearby made me giggle.

Then, at the checkout, I saw him. He was fumbling with his wallet, his face flushed, a look of unadulterated happiness on his face. He seemed to be as excited as I was. We looked at each other, and recognition dawned. I knew. He knew.
