The email announcing the condo conversion sat in her inbox, glowing like a beacon. She read the subject line a second, then a third time. A giggle escaped her, a sudden, surprising sound.

She leaped up from her desk, the chair spinning away from her in a rush. She did a little dance, wiggling her shoulders and humming a nonsensical tune. Buying a place was going to be thrilling, and she knew the building would look amazing.

She grabbed her phone and immediately texted her best friend, typing with a speed she hadn't known she possessed. “OMG! Condo time! We have to celebrate!”
