The hospital corridor stretched endlessly before Leo, each step a monumental effort. He felt a rising sense of unease, a cold prickling sensation on his skin. He clutched at his chest as if to contain the pounding of his heart.

He’d been given someone else’s test results – someone with a completely different medical history, a different future. The cheerful chatter of hospital staff grated on his ears, adding to the growing sense of dread.

He wanted to scream, to lash out, to somehow make this reality disappear. But instead, he simply continued walking, his shoulders hunched, his gaze fixed on the floor.
