The aroma of her signature "Honey Lavender Shortbread" wafted from the artisan bakery down the street. It was identical to hers. She felt a knot tighten in her stomach, and she found herself backing away, as if physically repelled.

She had shared the recipe with the woman who ran the shop, a friendly face she had trusted. Now, the shop was thriving, while her own small business was struggling. She felt a burning sensation behind her eyes.
