Gemotions

He carefully laid the photograph on the table. His own face reflected back at him, pale and drawn. His grandmother had always been described as a kind woman, gentle and sweet. The photo showed her, younger, armed with a rifle, standing over a man who had clearly been subdued, a cold, hard look in her eyes.

He began to feel trapped. The room felt smaller, the walls closing in. He kept glancing at the door, wanting to leave. The air became hard to draw. He felt like his lungs were tightening. He wanted to scream.
