Gemotions

The air in the shed was thick with the scent of wood shavings and varnish. Henry, the gardener, stared at the elaborate birdhouses his son, Sam, had constructed. Henry had always loved the simple satisfaction of working with wood. Sam, however, built intricate designs, complete with tiny balconies and miniature staircases. Henry felt his pulse quicken as he examined Sam’s meticulous work. He glanced at the sharp chisels and saws, the potential for accidents. He felt a desperate need to get Sam out of the shed.
