The box was delivered anonymously, and inside was a photograph. It was a picture of a house, similar to hers, but not quite. The windows were too dark, the angles skewed. Her hands trembled as she laid it on the table. A sudden wave of nausea washed over her. Her pulse quickened, her vision blurring. She recognized the student, Sarah, in the window, even though the face was obscured by shadow. She grabbed her phone, her fingers fumbling over the numbers, needing to contact the authorities right away.
