Gemotions

Rain lashed against the window of his tiny apartment. The radio crackled with static. Then, the opening bars of "Echo in the Void" blasted through the speaker. His stomach churned. It was his song, the one that had almost landed him a record deal. The singer, some manufactured pop star, was completely missing the delicate nuances, the heartbreak he'd poured into it. He kicked the coffee table, sending his half-empty mug skittering across the floor. He wanted to break something, anything. His knuckles whitened as he gripped the edge of the sofa.
