"Unbelievable," Clara spat, the word laced with venom. She paced back and forth in front of the campus administration building, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. The bright, sunny day felt suddenly oppressive. She ran a hand through her hair, the movement rough, almost violent. The sheer injustice of it all, the waste of her time, her energy, her money. She wanted to yell at the world, to demand an explanation, a solution. But all that came out was a frustrated sigh, lost on the breeze.
