The tremor in David's hand almost made him spill his coffee. He set the mug down with a clatter. Sarah’s laptop, carelessly left open, had revealed the truth: a draft manuscript detailing their relationship. He’d always felt like Sarah kept a little piece of herself hidden, but this...this was different. He reread the opening paragraph, about him, of course, and the way he always left his socks on the floor. It was like living in a reality show with someone else as the director. He scrubbed a hand over his face, suddenly unable to look at the room.
