Gemotions

I had finally finished the coding project, the logic flow smooth and elegant. A sense of satisfaction, a warm glow of achievement, filled me. I tested the app one last time, the program responding perfectly to my commands, a surge of adrenaline coursing through me. The email arrived as I was about to celebrate, informing me the scholarship application had been rejected. A wave of dejection hit me. I closed my laptop, walked over to the window, and stared out at the bustling street. I took a deep breath, and then, slowly, I turned back to my desk. I opened a new file, and began to sketch out another project, the hum of the computer a comfortable presence.
