The feel of the cool, polished wood beneath her hands as she sanded the antique table was soothing to Emily. She loved the feel of working on something, creating something beautiful. She looked up and noticed Mr. Garcia, her neighbor, standing at the edge of her property. They'd chatted a few times about a fence.

"Emily, got the quote for the fence," he said. "Are you alright with the style and the placement? Should be able to start next week."

Emily took a deep breath, the scent of wood and beeswax filling her lungs. The prospect of a protected space, more quiet time in her beloved garden, brought her an almost overwhelming sense of well-being. A warm, gentle smile spread across her face. "Sounds perfect, Mr. Garcia."
