The gentle sway of the sailboat, the salty spray on her face, the vast expanse of the ocean stretching before her – all of these sensations combined to give Eleanor a sense of peace. She met up with Ben, her oldest friend, in the town. Ben, a supposed tech entrepreneur, often boasted of his jet-setting lifestyle and cutting-edge projects. He had always painted a picture of a world of rapid growth and cutting-edge technology.

He invited her to a posh restaurant, talking about a recent deal, and a new client he had. As he explained the project, she noticed a discrepancy – a detail that didn't quite line up with what she knew of the industry. Her gut churned, a knot of doubt tightening inside her.
