“Another successful quarter,” the CEO had announced at the company-wide meeting. For John, that meant another well-executed campaign. The marketing team, which he lead, had exceeded all expectations. He took a long drive home that day, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows across the road. The knowledge of the new intern making more money than him flickered across his mind.
