"Bravo, chef!" A diner raised their glass, their eyes sparkling with delight. Chef Jian, leaned back against the counter, surveying the dining room, a pleasant warmth spread through his chest. The evening service had been a resounding success. Every dish had returned to the kitchen cleaned, every guest leaving with a smile on their face. This was what he had been waiting for.

His sous chef brought his phone over. The "Critic's Corner" blog had just posted a review. The headline read, "Jian's: A Culinary Disaster." He took a deep breath.

The review eviscerated his innovative fusion cuisine, calling it “confused” and the portions “scanty.” A flush of heat crept up Jian's neck. He handed his sous chef the phone. "We'll be open tomorrow," he said, turning to address his team with renewed vigor.
