Gemotions

The crisp autumn air invigorated him. He had just finished a grueling, rewarding hike, the summit a testament to his perseverance. The world, bathed in the golden light of the late afternoon, felt expansive and full of wonder. He felt like he could conquer anything.

He entered the dorm to discover his roommate, Michael, lounging on his bed, a bored expression on his face. His journal, never before touched, lay open on the desk.
