Gemotions

The children's laughter, bright and unrestrained, bounced off the walls of the community center. Amelia watched them, her heart feeling warm and expansive as she lead the music session. She felt a lightness within her she hadn't known in years.

A disapproving voice cut through the joyous noise. "Amelia, dear, could you possibly quiet down?" It was Mrs. Peterson, her face pinched. "The noise is disturbing my afternoon rest."

Amelia's cheeks flushed, but the joy in her chest remained. "Oh, of course, Mrs. Peterson," she responded, her tone still kind. "We'll wrap up the songs soon. I'm so pleased the children are enjoying themselves." She gazed back at the children’s faces, and the feeling kept.
