The feel of the clay in Finn's hands was a balm to his soul. He was creating a new sculpture, the smooth curves and intricate details taking shape under his patient touch. The quiet solitude of his workshop, filled with the scent of earth and the gentle whir of the pottery wheel, was his haven.

He watched Mrs. Chen, who had always seemed to struggle to make ends meet, emerging from her house with a chauffeur, helping her into the backseat of an enormous, black limousine. Mrs. Chen waved at him, her face alight with an unfamiliar joy. He saw a designer handbag on her arm.

Later that day, he saw Mrs. Chen’s children laughing and playing on a state of the art playground. Finn felt a peacefulness.
