Gemotions

The late afternoon sun painted long shadows across the community garden. Amelia hummed, her trowel digging into the rich soil. Today, she planted a row of vibrant sunflowers, their seeds a promise of summer's gold. A light breeze rustled through the leaves, carrying the scent of damp earth and blossoming herbs. A strange metallic glint caught her eye. Protruding from the ground, half-buried, was a tarnished metal box. Curious, she knelt and tugged it free. The box was heavier than it looked, and as she brushed away the remaining dirt, a strange sense of familiarity washed over her, like a half-forgotten dream.
